2010 Minnesota Twins Season Preview

The Twins won 87 games and the AL Central last season, and look poised to challenge again this year.

The rotation is above average and is looking for Francisco Liriano to return to his form from a few years ago. He did not pitch well last year while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but looked impressive in winter and spring ball. The Twins lost Joe Nathan for the season and are looking for Jon Rauch to fill the closers role.

Offensively it all starts and stops with perennial All Stars Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau. The revamped middle of the infield with new SS J.J. Hardy and 2B Orlando Hudson should be an improvement from last season.

The talent is there and if the bullpen and rotation can hold up it should come down to the Twins and White Sox for the division.

Here are some more in depth Twins previews from around the web -
